Diagnosis Of Acne Vulgaris

Acne vulgaris, or acne, is a very common skin infection problem that starts when the oil and dead skin cells clog up the skin pores. Some people refer to the problem as blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, or zits. When you have just a few red spots, or pimples, you may have a mild form of acne. Severe acne can mean hundreds of pimples that can cover the face, neck, chest, and back area. Acne can be bigger or solid, red lumps that are painful cysts. This is called cystic acne. Often young people get at least mild acne at some time in their lives even possibly in their 20's. Acne usually gets better after the teen years. Many adult women still do have acne flares in the days just before their menstrual periods. It may cause severe scarring of the skin and pigmentation.
How you feel about your acne may not be related to how severe the disease. Some people with severe disease are not bothered by it. Others are embarrassed or upset even though they have only a few pimples. There are many treatments that can help treat and control its symptoms. There is no fast, quick, or permanent cure but it can be consistently, progressively and effectively treated and improved on with modern soaps, washes, antibiotic creams, and laser in the 21st century. It starts when excessive oil products and dead skin cells clog the skin's pores. The pores retain oil & sweat. If germs get into the clogged pores, the result can be infection from propion bacterium acnes and staphylococcus aureus and epidermis. Swelling, redness, and pus then form the infection. The infections maybe slow a few days to only hours.
Often in most people it starts during the early teen years. This is because of hormonal changes at puberty making the skin produce more oil. The pores get bigger and open more letting bacteria into the skin. The rate of flow of the oils in the pores from the bottom to the surface slows by the widening of the pores size. You usually do not get acne from eating chocolate, cakes, nuts, or greasy foods. You can make acne worse by using oily skin products that can clog your pores. Acne is made worse by constantly putting your hands on your face or letting oil sit in the skin.
Acne can genetically run in families. If one of your parents had severe acne, you are more likely to have acne than the general population. Symptoms of acne may include whiteheads, blackheads, and pimples. Acne can be painful if it becomes infected and it may permanently scar hypopigmant or hyperpigmant the skin.
To help control acne, and prevent permanent scarring keep your skin clean. Keep all hair off of your face. Avoid all oily skin products that clog your pores. Avoid oily hair conditioners and products. Use products that are noncomedogenic. Wash your skin once or twice a day with a gentle soap or acne wash. Use a new clean washcloth gently washing your hands first before use. Use a clean towel every time. Change your pillowcase daily and your sheets every few days or every day. Try hard not to aggressively scrub or pick at your pimples at all. This may make acne worse and usually can cause scars. Do not squeeze your pimples, whiteheads or blackheads.
For only a few rare pimples, you could purchase an acne cream without a prescription. Look for one that has benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. These work best when used just as the label directs. It can take time to get acne under control. Keep using the same treatment about 4 weeks. You may even notice that acne may get worse before it gets better. If your skin is not better or worse after approximately 4 weeks, try another product. If your acne is really bothering you or you are noticing scarring on your skin, see your doctor. A prescription gel or cream for your skin may be all you need. Your doctor may use antibiotic pills, creams, soaps, and medication or laser procedures. A mixture of treatments or acne washes may work best. If you are a female, taking certain birth control pills may help to improve your acne or could make it worse. You may have a flare of acne due to stress or your menstrual period.
If you have painful or large acne cysts, quickly talk to you doctor about a stronger medicine. Certain medications work very well, but others can cause depression, birth defects, suicidal tendencies, or high cholesterol. This is not a great choice and is usually a last resort. Special laser treatments may work very well with an antibiotic oral and wash. Let your doctor know if you have had depression before taking these medicines. If you are female, you must protect against pregnancy by using two forms of birth control. Even one dose of this medicine can cause birth defects if a woman takes it while she is pregnant.
There are skin treatments and acne makeup that can help acne scars look better and help the skin to feel smoother. Ask your doctor about them. The best treatment for you depends on how severe the disease has become and how severe you're scarring. You may need to have scar tissue removed and possibly an injection of hyaluric acid. Hyaluric acid smoothes pitted scars by plumping up the base of the skin volume underneath the pit or scar. You may get the best results with a combination of treatments. The best way to get rid of scars is with a computerized erbium laser dermabrasion. The resurfacing of the skin with an erbium removes all the surface and deeper scars and pits are removed and the new skin will regrow beautifully without pits and/or scars. This is not microdermabrasion. Microdermabrasion erodes the superficial dead tissue that leaves the deeper scars. You look great for a few weeks. In about one month everything is back again and you do it again and again. The results of computerized erbium dermabrasion are quite impeccable and usually last a lifetime often completely removing the infections or scars.

Acne On Chin And Neck

 Chin acne and cure
Throughout the world women folk are mostly affected by this troublesome skin disorder. As per statistics almost fifty percent of total adult women get affected by this disease irrespective of their race, color, and origin. It is believed that mainly complicated hormonal activities are mainly responsible for acne eruptions in adult women. At the onset of puberty and during premenstrual stage and pregnancy period women often face the scourge of chin acne due to the sudden surge of male hormone androgens in the serum level. These hormones influence oil producing sebaceous glands to exude excess body oil or sebum through hair follicles. Therefore surplus body oil instead of reaching the skin surface clogs up skin pores along with piles of dead skin cells, thereby swelling up the hair follicles and giving rise to acne breakouts. The jammed body oil inside blocked pores prepares the perfect breeding ground for skin dwelling bacteria Propionibacterium acnes—the causal factor behind the acne lesions—and subsequently causes bacterial proliferation which turns the clogged pores into inflamed reddish acne lesions.

Other than hormonal imbalance some external factors are also known to play role behind the formation of acne on chin. If you wear apparels having chin strap it might trap the sweat and dirt particles causing clogging of pores and breeding of bacteria and you might end up with acne lesions in that area. Occurrence of acne flare ups in the chin area could be treated in various ways. But, before going for any specific treatment procedure you need to identify your skin type. A professional dermatologist would certainly help you to know whether you have got oily, normal, dry, or a combination skin type. Other than this you also need to be concerned about your susceptibility to any sort of side effects due to any chemical combination used in the medication.

Wash your chin with a mild soap and lukewarm water twice a daily. To get the optimal result from the over-the-counter treatments for chin acne condition, you need to follow a proper regimen. A good skin specialist would certainly help you out in this regard. In general acne sufferers use a suitable cleanser, followed by exfoliator and toner, and at the end one mild, oil-free, and suitable moisturizer as a complete regimen for removing mild acne lesions from the chin area and other body parts.

If you have got severe acne lesions on your chin then it is advisable that you see a doctor for proper treatment. Medical practitioners often prefer isotretinoin the synthetic derivative of vitamin A as treatment of choice. This unique oral drug works by putting an end to the bacterial proliferation, controlling the sebum secretion, and mitigating the inflammation, thereby helping to get hold of severe chin acne. But this medication is not recommendable for pregnant women and they must take proper contraceptive measure while taking this medication. Certain birth control pills also help in reducing acne flare ups by reducing androgen production in female body and thereby preventing the likelihood of clogging up of the skin pores and subsequent acne formation.

Diet For Hormonal Acne

Are you wondering what the best diet for acne is? If you have acne then it is vitally important to know what you should eat and what you should not eat if you want clear skin. Diet is a large contributor to your acne problem. Continue reading to find out details about what the best diet for acne is.
So Many Options... Which One is Correct?
Raw food diet, low carbohydrate diet, Atkins diet, vegetarian diet, vegan diet, detoxes, and more. Out of the hundreds of different diets that people swear by, how in the world will we ever know which one is best for acne? Well, we will never know. We can all thrive on most diets. I do not have a specific diet for you, but I do have some general guidelines that you must follow if you wish to have clear skin within a reasonable amount of time.
First, we need to talk about the diet that more than likely you are consuming. The one that is contributing to the killer diseases of the modern era.
The Western Diet - Get Off It Now
Thanks to the large population of the United States (I am one of these people that was born and is currently living here) the industrial revolution is wreaking havoc on millions of people every year. Processed foods and foods that are not grown organically are basically a disgrace to this country.
Injecting cows with growth hormones, antibiotics and more is producing more food. I understand that. But, this food is what contributes to the various diseases. Acne is one of them. Food that is not grown organically is less nutritious and some recognize it as being fake, or not true food. Stuffing chickens inside cages without any room to move around is flat out wrong.
Do not get me wrong here... I love chicken. I am a big eater of chicken and there eggs. But, only organically, free-range raised chicken. I now only buy eggs that are truly pastured. Eggs where the hens are free to roam around on large grass field farms, eating healthy grass and thus providing us with much more nutritious and cleaner protein and fat. And, 100% grass-fed beef is healthier, tastier, and more pleasant compared to conventionally raised beef.
Then their is processed foods. In fact, it is not food. Corn dogs, pizza, TV dinners (what a joke), cookies, pancake mixes, bread, and thousands of other food like substances is harmful to your health. You need to avoid processed foods starting today. Do it for your health!
This western diet causes rapid blood sugar fluctuations, hormone imbalances, liver problems, constipation, and a host of other problems. All leading to acne and other diseases that we created ourselves.
Okay... So What Should You Eat?
Food.
I recommend going back to how we first ate when we arrived on Earth. We were hunters and gathers. We ate loads of vegetables, fruits, animal foods, and nuts and seeds. It was all wild picked and naturally grown. To me, a paleo based diet, also known as primal, caveman, etc. makes the most sense as that is how we adapted.
Also, there was not much cooking back in the day. This is where a raw food diet has its place. I do not believe a 100% raw food diet is feasible for everyone, but eating about 75% raw foods is very ideal. Cook your chicken, beef, lamb, etc. Cook your fish if you wish but mix in some sushi. Eat all fruits raw and eat most of your vegetables raw. If you want them warm with your meal then lightly steam them.
Eat plenty of coconut. Coconut has miraculous healing powers. Hemp seeds are full of vitamins and minerals, are a quality source of protein, have a decent omega 3 to omega 6 fatty acid ratio, are very versatile, and are easy on the wallet when purchased in bulk.
In addition, avoid most, if not all grains. Avoid dairy at all costs as it has an absurd amount of links to acne. If you enjoy grains, then slowly eliminate them from your diet. I recommend avoiding all gluten grains first. I currently enjoy Irish steel cut oats 1-2 times a week. I do not eat any other grains on a regular basis.
The Diet Seems Clear Now... What About Other Areas of Health?
Excellent question. Yes, diet plays a huge role with acne. But, all areas of health are just as important as diet. Treat Hormonal Acne Naturally

Is your acne making you feel self-conscious when people are around? Perhaps, you're annoyed that others may look at you disgustingly. Instead, start looking for the perfect solution to treat your particular skin condition. Experts believe that the best way to get rid of acne is to eradicate the causative factors. For example, stress can be an underlying cause. Most people think that only teenagers are susceptible to acne, but it is common among adults as well. Did you know that acne is one of the most common skin conditions in the world? Hormonal imbalance is the prime cause, but there are other factors, such as genetics, stress, medications, occupation and environment that contribute to acne. Let's discuss about some of the natural ways to treat hormonal acne.
The purpose of hormonal acne treatment is to restore the natural balance of hormones in your body, so that your sebaceous glands will not produce excessive oil. Any problem or condition that leads to hyperactivity of your sebaceous glands will trigger acne. So, the idea is to prevent or deal with the excessive oil secretion. Clearade acne treatment demonstrates the role of acne vitamins, particularly Vitamin B5, in treating acne. When the right amount of Vitamin B5 is administered to your body, it sets off natural reactions that improve the oil metabolism in your skin. As you know, oily skin favors acne breakouts and our objective is to combat the situation. Hormonal acne can occur at any stage in life, due to hormonal changes caused during women's menstrual cycle or even emotional stress.
Natural acne treatment is not only about applying herbal or homemade ointments on your face but also deals with your lifestyle and diet. Stress reduction is a perfect approach to treat hormonal acne. In today's fast-paced life, you cannot avoid mental stress. And, stress is an important cause for hormonal imbalance. You can overcome stress by turning to effective stress management methods like relaxing, exercising and getting proper sleep. Obesity is another reason for recurrent acne. How is overweight related to acne? It can increase the androgen levels in your body. So, maintaining your body weight and reducing stress are long-lasting methods to control acne. That's not all. Such a lifestyle will contribute to your overall health as well.
There are medical options to combat hormonal acne, but they have side-effects. Of course, you must seek your doctor or dermatologist for medical advice. They may prescribe oral contraceptives or anti-androgens to balance the hormones in your body. But, for any acne type, it's best to try natural recourses before seeking medical help. When it comes to diet, ensure that your diet includes fresh fruits and vegetables that contain acne vitamins. Did you know that antioxidants are among the best hormonal equalizers? They are also blood purifiers and hence, your skin will get a healthy glow and a brighter tone. Antioxidants also help in decreasing inflammation, which is an important cause for acne breakouts. Another important factor about antioxidants is that they assist in quick skin repair, meaning that damages caused by acne are healed faster.
Regular cleansing can be a great way to keep the skin oil free and prevent clogging of the skin pores. Remain hydrated, because adequate water intake flushes out the toxins from your body. Above all, find the underlying cause for your acne problem and treat it.

Hormonal Cystic Acne

Cystic acne is often a painful condition where pus filled cysts and nodules appear on the skin. It is a skin disorder that generally affects the face. The condition is a severe form of acne vulgaris and is typically identified by red papules that get severely inflamed and painful. In acute cases it spreads to the neck, back, shoulders and chest. Adolescents are most commonly affected by this skin problem.
Cystic Acne Causes
The primary cause of cystic acne is over production of sebum, an oily substance naturally produced in the body. It occurs when pores close to the sebaceous glands get clogged with excess sebum, build up of dead skin cells and cosmetics. Sebum produced in the body finds no release since the pores are clogged and as a result starts accumulating beneath the skin. The accumulated sebum causes the area to become inflamed. The condition gets aggravated further as bacterial growth sets in. Growth of bacteria worsens the condition and the area becomes infected causing inflamed lesions to form.
Adolescents are more prone to this condition because of the hormonal changes they experience. Hormones cause sebum to be produced in greater quantity. Adolescents experience dramatic enlargement in sebaceous glands because of androgens the body produces. Androgen is a hormone that stimulates sebum production.
Though the main cause for cystic acne is over production of sebum and clogging of pores, there are a few other reasons responsible for the skin trouble.
Menstrual Cycle - Young girls go through hormonal changes during their menstrual cycle. In some girls the changes in hormone levels during the cycle have a similar affect as the hormone androgen has and causes severe acne breakout.
Birth Control Pills - The natural hormone balance in the body is altered by the hormones present in birth control pills. An overload of certain hormones is responsible for the cystic acne breakouts.
Hereditary - An individual's genes decide whether they would suffer from the condition. The condition usually runs in families. There is more likelihood of individual developing cystic acne if one or both parents had the condition.
Stress - Research shows that emotional upheavals and extreme physical strain can cause the skin to break out into acne.
Makeup - Makeup clogs the skin and does not allow it to breathe and this can cause acne. The face has to be cleaned thoroughly to remove all traces of makeup to avoid build up that could block the pores.
Dirt and Grime - Dirt acts the same way on skin as makeup does. Skin which is not cleaned properly will allow bacteria to grow and cause eruptions.
Oil Based Cosmetics - Since excessive oil is one of the main cystic acne causes, using oil based cosmetics could aggravate the condition by doing exactly what sebum does.
Medication - Acne can develop as a reaction to certain types of medication. Medicines clearly mention the possible side-effects on the leaflet and avoiding medication that causes acne could control the condition.

What Is Hormonal Acne

The relationship between hormones and acne is indeed unremitting. Hence, it is not surprising to see that a lot scientific research has gone into studying hormonal acne. Hormonal imbalances or hormonal changes can occur at any stage your life, but with appropriate measures, even persistent acne can be dealt with. In several instances, assistance of specialists - endocrinologists - can be of immense help in investigating findings to regulate hormones.
What is the science behind hormonal acne? Overactive hormones increase the production of sebum, i.e. skin oil, in areas such as face, neck, shoulders, upper arms, chest and back, where sebaceous glands are densely grouped. Too much of sebum tends to attract dust and trap bacteria, thereby clogging your skin pores. As bacteria thrive and multiply, the affected pores are inflamed and become red, tender and swollen. Most of us are aware that hormonal imbalance is invariably associated with teen acne, which affects girls and boys alike at puberty. But, hormonal acne is not limited to teenagers, as it affects several age groups.
Hormonal acne manifests as typical acne lesions namely, zits, pimples, blemishes, blackheads and whiteheads. The skin appears oily with a peculiar shine to it. Though hormonal acne affects both men and women, it is more recurrent in women as they experience hormonal imbalances during various stages of their life, such as menstruation, pregnancy, menopause and ovulation. If such is the case, you may need medical prescriptions, such as oral corticosteroids, which inhibit the production of androgen, the hormone responsible for overactive sebaceous glands. Anti-androgens stop androgen production and hinder excessive secretion of sebum. Oral contraceptive pills may be prescribed to treat estrogen-progesterone fluctuations that trigger acne. However, side-effects many be pronounced, meaning that medical supervision is mandatory.
What are the possible causes of hormonal acne? Mental stress is highly instrumental in inducing hormonal acne in teens and adults alike. Depending on your lifestyle, make sure that you adopt proper stress-reduction measures or stress-release activities - adequate sleep, regular exercise, temper-management, etc. - which will ultimately help you control the secretion of harmful stress hormones.
Obesity is also a cause for recurring hormonal acne. This is because excess weight converts estrogens to androgens, which triggers excessive sebum production and makes your skin more susceptible to acne breakouts. So, weight management and stress management can prove to be effective natural remedies for acne induced by overactive hormones. Women affected with certain conditions like polycystic ovary are also prone to hormonal imbalance and the resultant acne. Hormonal therapies, birth control treatments and steroids are other possible causes.
Though hormonal acne has nothing to do with bad hygiene, it is important to maintain a proper skin cleansing routine. Using gentle acne products, such as facial cleansers and body washes that reduce oiliness and clogging of skin pores can keep all types of acne at bay. Make sure that you reduce excessive sebum, dirt and sweat on your skin through simple practices, such as showering after workouts, keeping your fingers off your face, washing pillow cases frequently and wearing clothes made of breathable material.

How To Treat Hormonal Acne

If you're pregnant, get ready for those hormones! As a pregnant mother, you can expect a series of hormonal changes as your body actually prepares itself for your baby. Unfortunately, along with the hormones comes acne as your skin becomes more vulnerable due to the hormonal fluctuations. Good news is, acne from pregnancy is very common, so don't fret if you see zits every now and then while you're expecting.
Since acne is very common during pregnancy, here are some do's to help prevent breakouts:
- Treat your skin normally and keep your skin fresh and clean by washing it with gentle cleansers that do not remove the skin's natural moisture. If your skin is really oily, you can cleanse your face two times a day.
- Try to practice the habit of putting on an oil-free, anti-drying lotion after rinsing your face. This will give your skin extra-nourishment without overloading it with unnecessary oils.
- When rinsing your face, try to use lots of water to completely remove any soap residue since these substances can serve as breeding grounds for bacteria.
- Cleanse the area affected with acne with an oil-free facial wash. Remember to use the appropriate amount of cleanser so you can prevent your skin from over drying since once your skin becomes dry, your sebaceous glands might be triggered to produce more oil.
- If you wish to apply a toner or an astringent, you may do so by using a cotton ball for applying the treatment directly on every zit or blackhead to stop the bacteria from spreading to other areas.
- Be careful when touching your zits. It's best to not rub them because you might wipe off the pimple-causing bacteria and transfer it to the other areas of your body or face.
- You may also maintain healthy eating habits by consuming lots of fruits and veggies. But may only come as an effective option if you practice the habit along with good hygiene practices.
- You may do exercises and activities to improve the blood circulation within your skin. Doing this will help you make your skin more resistant to infections. An active lifestyle, believe it or not, may also make you feel less stressed.
- If your condition is severe and you really need to use an acne medication, make sure you consult with a doctor and only use safe, recommended topical acne drugs.
Some acne medications can cause detrimental side effects. Here is a list of what not to do to treat acne from pregnancy:
- As much as possible, do not take acne medications with Retinoic acid and Tretinoin. Experts say that roaccutane or Retinoic acid may cause miscarriage and birth defects. Tretinoin, as a topical acne treatment, may also lead to congenital abnormalities.
- You may also consider refraining from taking oral acne treatments during pregnancy, specially those medications with higher dosages of vitamin A since this may threaten the life of your unborn child. These medications may cause congenital defects, learning disabilities, and physical deformities.
If you really need to use medications to treat hormonal acne during pregnancy, stick to milder treatments such as salicylic acid. Benzoyl peroxide is an effective acne treatment but it is really not for sensitive skin, which is common among expectant moms since their skin becomes vulnerable to natural bodily changes.
Regular consultation with a doctor may prove to be a great help in your coping up with your hormonal acne when expecting. If your condition doesn't really need medication, then don't take acne treatments.
Most probably, your skin will return to its usual healthy condition 2 to 3 months after your baby is born.

Why Is My Acne So Bad

Reading or hearing the "word" acne can have a visceral effect with many, many people. The reality is that countless numbers of people - young and old alike - have had to face the challenges associated with bad acne. Having to deal with the physical consequences of bad acne is ... bad enough. However, there also can be a miserable social impact associated with bad acne which can be even more difficult to deal with and manage.
When looking at the social implications of a bad acne condition, the first factor that must be considered is the reality that a bad acne condition actually impairs a person's self confidence. No matter how a person might try, when he or she is suffering through a situation involving bad acne, that person is going to have a lower level of confidence than he or she might otherwise enjoy. Indeed, for many people it becomes very difficult if not downright impossible to even look in the mirror.
Beyond a lowering of one's confidence and sense of self worth, a bad acne condition also causes many people to isolate and stay away from other people. A person afflicted with a bad acne condition is very likely to avoid many social situations - parties, special events and the like. A significant number of people with a bad acne condition even forgo dating and any other type of situation that will bring them into close contact with other individuals. In short, acne can be a very isolating condition. Dealing with acne can really be a lonely endeavor for many, many people.
In some of the more serious instances, a person with bad acne ends up suffering from depression. In such a situation, a truly vicious circle can develop. When a person is depressed, he or she will be less likely to tend to his or her personal and professional affairs. As a result, a person who is depressed and suffering from acne will be less inclined to follow through on an appropriate treatment regimen to deal with the acne. The acne condition becomes even more aggravated. And so forth.
Beyond how the acne sufferer responds to a bad acne condition, there are also societal reactions and prejudices that attach to a person who is afflicted with a serious acne problem. For example, many people harbor the belief that if a person has bad acne, that person is not clean and does not engage in proper hygiene. Of course, the truth is a person can have absolutely impeccable hygiene and still end up afflicted with acne.
Through better education and more understanding, the plight of a person afflicted with bad acne can be eased. It is not only the person afflicted with bad acne who needs to be better educated and who needs to have a better understanding of his or her condition - but, it is other people around that person as well who needs to attain this important information, knowledge and sense of compassion and understanding.

How To Stop Bad Acne

Got an acne breakout coming, or do you just want to figure out how to stop an acne breakout? An acne breakout occurs when huge amounts of acne all of a sudden pop up on the face. There are many reasons for an acne breakout to occur, such as hot weather, sudden change in diet or lifestyle, or just a random occurrence. There is almost nothing you can do to stop an acne breakout that is already occurring, however there are methods to avoiding one in the further. We'll discuss how to treat existing acne breakouts and how to prevent future breakouts.
Once existing acne breakouts begin, it often takes three to four weeks to stop it. The only way you can speed up the treatment process is to figure out what caused the initial trigger. Is it because of your diet, or the weather? A quick, common treatment that works for almost all types of acne treatments is to eat only health food for the next week. Avoid all junk food, and avoid all reprocessed foods. This includes many forms of grains and meats. There are many chemicals in reprocessed foods that lead to clogged pores and the overproduction of sebum. Even though it may not look like it, there are so many foods that cause acne. By eating only fresh fruits and vegetables for a week, cooking everything by boiling, you should notice your acne calming down. Then, you can treat the acne successfully without worrying about additional chain acne breakouts.

Also, over washing or over applying of acne creams doesn't help treat acne breakouts. Exposure to sunlight often makes it worse. Based on personal experiences, the real treatment is just to wait it out. Take the necessary precautions that I've described above to reduce any further breakouts of acne.

To prevent an acne breakouts in the future, it's important to keep and maintain the diet and lifestyle you are currently living. Any sudden changes that involves the skin results in a potential environment for an unwanted breakout. It is still a mystery as to why this occurs, but if you're looking to stay safe, be sure to avoid extended exposure to skin damaging agents, like bad acne treatments and sun exposure. Be sure to apply sun block when necessary, and avoid sweating as this often clogs pores, leading to acne breakouts.

Acne breakouts are very nasty and is one thing no acne sufferer looks forward to. They are completely unpredictable, but by taking the necessary steps I've talked about, you should see fast improvement during an acne breakout and reduced frequency in the never of acne breakouts.

Bad Foods For Acne

People who are suffering from acne should avoid the worst foods for acne. However, this condition is caused by a lot of things, not just because of diet alone. Even the experts are unable to point out the single cause of acne formation. Still, diet can influence the body a lot, especially when it comes to acne. The wrong intake of food can lead to a worsening acne problem. You don't want that to happen, do you?
To address the diet issue right now, you must learn to pay attention to what you eat. Try classifying foods whether those are bad for acne or can help stop the progression of the said skin disease. It is always good to keep yourselves away from foods that are highly related to the growth of acne. There are not very many of them, so, it will not be much of a problem. However, you might have to give up some of your favorite munchies.
Too Much Protein in the Diet
One of the worst foods for acne is too much of animal protein. There are a number of things that can explain why you must avoid them. First, the protein found on animals is highly acidifying. Acid on the skin can cultivate the growth of certain bacteria and parasites. There must be a balance between the acidity and the alkalinity of your skin and your entire body. Maybe you should start thinking about being a vegetarian.
Sweets and Other Sugar-rich Foods
One of the best food groups in life is the sweets and sweeteners. But these are surely considered as the worst foods for acne. There is no argument on that. And this is not just about refined sugar alone, but as well as all the other sweeteners you can find in the market these days. However, it is a different story when it comes to fruits. If you are planning to take in the fruit juice alone, well, that's not a good idea. To maximize the beneficial effects of fruits, eat them whole, to include the fiber and other healthy ingredients.
Milk and other Dairy Products
People these days really love cow's milk. The taste is undeniably good. However, milk from cows or any other kind of animals is not produced for humans. That's why these milks need to be pasteurized and processed. The cows and other animals are given a number of medications too, like hormones and antibacterial agents, in order to stimulate milk production. And of course, all these can be passed on the milk. This is indeed considered as one of the worst foods for acne.
Now that you know what foods can possibly nurture the growth of acne, there must be some major changes that you need to do. It will be hard for some at first. But take it one stop at a time, and soon enough, your body will not anymore look for those certain types of foods. Don't stress your skin out; take a step to avoid the worst foods for acne.
Avoiding the foods that cause acne and eating those foods that are known to reduce its growth will really be helpful. Now that you know the worst foods for acne [http://www.stopacnetoday.com], it's time to make some changes on your diet.

People With Bad Acne

The most widespread of skin conditions is acne and affects people of all races. It is estimated that up to 80 percent of all people will get some degree of acne. Acne is mostly found in teens after puberty starts but it can become a problem with some adults also. Its caused by the increase of oils that are trapped in the oil ducts and it becomes irritated.

Approximately 20 percent of those that get acne will have it bad enough to require medical treatment. This severe skin disease can and will cause scaring of the skin if left untreated. There are numerousover the counter products to be had that can help treat the more common pimples but prescription medication may be needed to treat difficult acne.

Acne is a common skin disease for North American whites. Those of Spanish heritage seem to get more cystic acne. African Americans can get what's referred to as pomade acne presumably from hair products. Others that are also prone to cystic acne are the countries of the Mediterranean area.

Acne can cause emotional grief despite of how bad it is. It causes embarrassment and lack of self esteem. Before anybody reaches puberty they should start taking care of their skin so they might get a head start and prevent acne from getting out of control. Some people will never get acne and others will only get a mild case. Some will get acne because its also hereditary but not every person in the family will get it and it may skip a generation.

Bad Back Acne

I'm sure you've seen many bad acne pictures. We all have. They force us to look away from the screen as they are just so gross! And pimples on your back are often harder to deal with than those on your face. We'll usually treat a pimple on our face, but back acne often gets out of control, as we simply don't pay attention to what we don't see in the mirror - out of sight, out of mind, as it were.
So why do some of us end up with bad acne on back, when the rest of our bodies are as clear as a newborn's skin? There is no scientific consensus when it comes to this topic, but the most likely theory is that some people have larger glands on their back which excrete oil, and when this blocks the skin, it is the one of the primary back acne causes.
We can categorize back acne into two types. Non Inflammatory acne is usually less visible such as blackheads, and whiteheads. These are less likely to cause back acne scars. The second is a much more critical type of acne. Inflammatory acne can cause glands to flare up, and consists of everything from red pustules, ugly legions and large pimples. They are painful, both to look at, and to have, on your back. They often cause scarring and are a mission to clear.
So how do you fight bad acne on your back?
There are a number of things you can do to treat bad back acne:
1: Shower regularly, ensure that you use a good cleanser on your back. The most you should shower is twice a day, but once should suffice. Overshowering can actually increase back acne. You're aiming for a balance, not extremely dry, as the glands will work harder, produce even more oil! There are cleansers which work specifically to treat body acne.
2: Use a very soft loofah or cloth when washing areas which often get acne. The last thing we want to do is further irritate the area with something rough or coarse like a brush or hard exfoliators.
3: Apply a treatment cream to the affected area to clear up acne.
4: Apply a moisurizer which is oil free. The aim is to reduce oil on the affected area, without drying it out, which will actually be counterproductive and result in more oil in the medium term.
5: Many acne breakouts are a result of a deeper underlying problem. It is well known that diet can be one of the main causes of acne. Using an oral acne treatment [http://badacnezine.com/balanced-acnezine-review-benefits-and-drawbacks/] to clear zits up makes perfect sense, and often works wonders. One of the only acne treatments that is catering for this market at the moment is Acnezine, as it treats your insides as well as your outside.
If you are looking for reliable tips on how to implement a skin care routine to get rid of bad back acne [http://badacnezine.com/how-to-get-rid-of-bad-acne-develop-a-3-step-facial-routine/], then my other tips will help also.
Just know that bad acne can be beaten, wherever you have it.

Treatment Of Acne Vulgaris

Acne vulgaris is the most common type of acne, the severity level can range from mild to relatively serious, and most often affects teenagers at the time of puberty when the bodily and hormonal changes are at peak; causing what is known as "hormonal imbalances" which is believed to be the root cause of acne. However, adults are not off the hook; many of them in their 30s or 40s could still have acne vulgaris.

Also, it should be noted that small spots of pimples are different from acne vulgaris; the former inflict people from time to time due to our daily lifestyle. Acne vulgaris, however, can manifest into several forms of lesions or skin problems. For examples, whiteheads, blackheads, papules, pustules are all skin blemishes that are generally related to acne vulgaris.

Examples of severe form of acne vulgaris are cysts or nodules that are both painful and filled with pus; if not treated, they could inflict wounds that cause life-time scarring.

Treatment for Acne Vulgaris
The treatment for acne vulgaris will depend on its severity. For mild form of acne, using over-the-counter product that contains benzoyl peroxide and following the correct way of washing your face should be sufficient to overcome the problem. For a more severe form of acne, it's highly advisable to see a dermatologist so that he or she can recommend the proper medications. Severe forms of acne are most likely treated with antibiotics and topical therapies as well.
More advance treatments or drug-free alternative for acne vulgaris are also available these days. For example, many private clinics are now using a new machine which uses a specific blue light that acts to destroy the acne-causing bacteria. This type of treatment is suitable for those who have severe forms of acne but can't tolerate antibiotics. It's also suitable for pregnant women who want to stay away from any side effect of antibiotics medication. Advanced form of treatments such as light or laser therapies can also help improve the appearance of scars caused by severe forms of acne vulgaris.

What Is Acne Vulgaris

Do you think acne vulgaris only affects youngsters? Then you are wrong. It regularly affects adults. It is depressing to look in the mirror and see a new wave of spots and pimples all over your face and you might not know what to do.
Your first call of action should be your local pharmacists. These licensed professionals are usually keen to help you and are knowledgeable about what skin products are available. They will be able to tell you the best products for your condition, which ones that will bring you relief and the ones that won't.
While you are at the pharmacists check out the range of natural remedies and products that are available for your condition. There are many natural products on the market that claim to eliminate acne completely. Most pharmacists will also have a range of various supplements that claim to help with acne relief.
You need to educate yourself on the many different causes of acne and discover just what is acne vulgaris! That way you may find out what is causing your problem. There has been a lot of research into acne and it is still ongoing which means that the experts are still not sure as to the exact cause of the problem. There are however a few things that the experts agree on that may be the cause of the problem.
Cosmetics - It can be safely said that cosmetics do cause acne since it is triggered by blocking the pores of the skin. Cosmetic products that contain oil will cause acne, even hypoallergenic and oil-free products, because they cover up the skin. Any cosmetic product that covers the skin will clog the pores and this will interfere with any acne treatment.
Washing your Face - If you are prone to have an acne problem you should always keep your skin clean, but only mild products should be used to clean it gently. A lot of people are under the illusion that they should scrub their skin with harsh soaps, but this will only aggravate their acne and make it worse.
Medicines - Barbiturates, steroids and anti-seizure drugs are all thought to affect your skins condition. It is important if you think prescribed medication is affecting your skin that you speak to your physician first. Do not stop taking medication without checking first.
Stress - Some research has shown that emotional stress can contribute to acne and other skin related problems. If you are stressed consider starting an exercise program. Regular exercise is said to be good for reducing stress.
Pollution - Smog, fog and levels of high humidity can all help to promote acne. If you are exposed to high levels of humidity for long periods it will cause swelling, this will block the pores and increase the chance of acne.
Chocolate - A lot of people will say that chocolate will bring you out in spots and pimples but it has yet to be proven. There has been a lot of research into this reason for acne but so far there are no results to prove it.
Diet - A lot of people have noticed that their acne will flare up after they have consumed certain foods. Your diet will contribute to your acne attacks it is therefore recommended that you make a note of any food items that bring on an attack and avoid them. Diets that include fats and dairy products are thought to make your acne worse and on the other side of the scale diets rich in Zinc should help your acne.
Improving your diet will have positive results in curing your acne vulgaris problems and improving your overall health.
